Look at your window tint from about 3-5 feet away, through the film rather than directly at it. It will take about 30-49 days to fully cure. During this time, your windows might look hazy and small water pockets, or “blisters,” may appear. Do not poke or press these blisters; they will go away once the water evaporates. Do NOT roll down your tinted windows for 2-5 days to prevent peeling. For ceramic tint, wait 5-7 days.

Clean your tinted windows with a soft cloth or regular paper towel. Do NOT use ammoniabased cleaners like Windex unless they say “Ammonia-Free” on the label. Ammonia can damage the film, making it hazy and blotchy. If you don’t have an ammonia-free cleaner, just use soap and water. Wait 1-2 weeks after installation before cleaning your windows.

While we aim for perfect installations, some dust and minor imperfections are normal in every window film application.

Most cars have a black ceramic “frit” edge on the rear window. These edges can be straight or dotted and often prevent the film from sticking well, leaving a whitish strip. This is usually not very noticeable, but some cars may have a wider band of dots that looks less uniform.

Be careful when releasing seat belts, as they can chip the window film if they hit the glass. This also applies to loading your vehicle with any objects that might pierce the film.

Do not roll down your windows until your vehicle is fully defrosted. Rolling them down in the cold can cause the film to peel from the bottom.

As cars age, dirt builds up in the window seals. Rolling windows up and down can create vertical scratches that become more noticeable after tinting.
